It was her wedding day. Lucy was about to get married whom her father set her up with the wealthy, young and talented George. Whilst the guests were arriving Lucy sat down on her very big double bed whilst the servants did her hair and makeup. After the makeup the servants put her enormous weighty dress on her and tightened it very hard so she would look tall, slim and elegant. She didn't feel very well and felt very nervous when, suddenly, she fainted. When Lucy woke up and her mind was very clear. She knew that it was time to face her father and ignore his demands and do what she wants for a change.

When Pete entered to the pub he was drunk already. He had been drinking at home while his wife was in the market buying something for dinner; he told her he had to attend a meeting in the bank with his boss. Pete knew very well that lying to his wife was unfair, but he didn’t feel guilty at all, he was just there enjoying himself, not thinking about what would happen when he arrived home.

It was a dark-dull morning in Billingsgate Market. Not many people around, just a few mongers and not many buyers. I was trying to look for a simple piece of white cod, the cheapest possible though, it was my special treat for the family. We never really got to eat fish, I barely even remembered the last time I had some, I didn't even remember if I liked it. On my cod hunt I saw one that looked especially appetising. With only two shillings in my pocket, I decided to buy it.

A young girl, with rags for clothes, walked along the cobbled sidewalk, dragging her legs with a token in her hand. She had planned to buy her father a newspaper to read whilst he was in bed, sick. She had found this token near a filthy drain and had picked it up, feeling happy that she'd be able to get her father something that would keep him occupied whilst she wasn't there.
The day had been gloomy as it usually was in London, the streets busy and the air humid. As she reached the corner of the street, she spotted some guys sitting around the pub, they were rowdy and messy, she didn't want to pass them but she had no choice, she really wanted this newspaper.
As she approached the corner she thought of all the good times she had had with her father, even if there were only a few. Much to her surprise, the men at the pub didn't harass her and she continued to the newspaper stand, feeling a whoosh of excitement flowing through her veins. She had never bought her father something and was very pleased to be able to do this for him, even if it was just a newspaper.

It’s so unfair, all the rich kids are now most probably, still sleeping in their warm and cosy beds, having their servants making them breakfast, while me and my troop of chimney sweepers have to share a small piece of bread and go to work, I don’t want to do that!  I want to go to school, why mother? Why did you sell me? Don’t you love me?  But then again at least I have a roof over my head not like other children.

On a wet friday night, Theodor was walking home from the local pub, he stumbled across something and fell to the ground. It was a body. He lay there staring at it, admiring how beautiful this young girl was, with long black hair , big green eyes... He decided to speak to her, she didn't respond, so he mumbled and rambled about his night in the pub. Mesmerized by her exquisite features,Theodor was anxious for a response ,he continued obliviously, totally unaware it was a dead body.
