When Pete entered to the pub he was drunk already. He had been drinking at home while his wife was in the market buying something for dinner; he told her he had to attend a meeting in the bank with his boss. Pete knew very well that lying to his wife was unfair, but he didn’t feel guilty at all, he was just there enjoying himself, not thinking about what would happen when he arrived home.
